The Salida Circus School was established in Feb 2007 to offer professional circus training to children and adults throughout Chaffee County, Colorado. SCS was founded by Jennifer Dempsey and David Roach, professional circus performers with 25 years combined experience. SCS is committed to providing circus skills training as a personal development tool in a nurturing, non-competitive environment. The Waltzing McTilders First Female Circus. A 30 minute circus storytelling act that tells the story of the legendary Madame McTilder and her daughters The Scarlet Sisters.

Following her liasons with Houdini, Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy, Madame McTilder and the Scarlet Sisters are a perfect act for parties, festivals and corporate events!

The Scarlet Sisters Lost Mermaid

A 45 minute interactive children's show

She-Pirates Scarlet 1 and 2 have been sailin' the Seven Seas lookin' for the Mythical Mermaid...for only the Mermaid knows where the buried treasure be! The Scarlets be lookin' for new recruits to find the Mermaid...are ye brave enough to help them? Aaaarrrggghhh!

Show includes interactive pirate song, acrobatics and juggling act;

Perfect for libraries, schools, community centers, birthday parties;

Can be performed indoors or out.

Ideal for ages 3-12.

While making circus training available to all members of the community, SCS aims to use circus training as a team-building tool for businesses, mentoring programs, and parent/child programs. SCS is committed to community-building by bringing shows to senior centers, nursing homes, community centers and other community events throughout Chaffee County. SCS is committed to providing teaching and performing employment for participants who have trained to a professional level. SCS is committed to fostering links with community circus schools throughout the US and the world, including the Boulder Circus Center, Circus Joy in California, The American Youth Circus Organization in New Hampshire, the Belfast Circus School in Northern Ireland, the Afghan mini-mobile Children's Circus in Kabul, and the Sligo Circus School in the Republic of Ireland, to name a few.
